Aleš Doucek is a graduate of the University of Chemistry and Technology in Prague, where he obtained his PhD in the field of chemical and energetic processing of fuels. Since 2008 he has been working at ÚJV Řež, a. s., focusing on hydrogen technologies. He is currently the head of the Hydrogen Technologies and Energy Innovations Department. He is also the Chairman of the Board of the Czech Hydrogen Technology Platform, of which he has been a member since 2013.

Aleš Doucek is a member of the Coordination Group for the National Action Plan for Clean Mobility, co-chair of the Hydrogen Mobility Working Group at the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Czech Republic, and a representative of the Platform in the National Hydrogen Council and the Hydrogen Coordination Group at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
