Startups and companies developing innovative technology solutions in defined defense categories can apply for participation in the six-month DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) program, established by the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). The call is open until 9 August 2024.
NATO DIANA opens the door to start-ups and companies with innovative technological solutions in defense. The new accelerator program offers a unique opportunity for dual-use companies whose technologies can impact the defense sector.
The program focuses on five key categories: energy and electricity, data and information security, sensing and surveillance, human health and performance, critical infrastructure, and logistics. Participants will have the opportunity to join a six-month accelerator program with an emphasis on business development and the defense market.
Selected startups will receive €100,000 in funding with flexible terms of use. In addition, they can benefit from fee reimbursement from the DIANA network’s test centers. The program also offers a unique opportunity to present solutions in front of investors and representatives of alliance armies and to participate in DIANA networking events.
Participation in the program is open to companies from NATO member states regardless of age or size. This initiative represents a significant opportunity for innovative companies to engage in defence technology development and gain support within the NATO alliance. The entire selection and award process is conducted at the NATO and DIANA levels, respectively.
