Psychovar, originally a home brewing project by Tomáš Benda from Řevnice, evolved into a “flying brewery” due to its growing scale. The name “Psychovar” was inspired during a home brewers’ meeting, where a member expressed the challenging nature of brewing wheat beer as “psycho”. This led to a playful discussion, eventually coining the name. Psychovar’s significant milestone was in 2020, when, in collaboration with Čajomír and the Řevnický Brewery, they developed tea beers, introducing innovative flavors like “Juicy Maté” and “Golden Pu-Erh” at Čajomír Fest.
