Ivo, a macroeconomic historian and teacher by education, has long been involved in supporting innovative projects and their financing since selling his own education company. He is the director of the Startups and Venture Investments Division at CzechInvest and he leads the Incubation and International Acceleration teams. With his team, he supports technologically interesting, scalable projects that need to develop a product or start their journey abroad. He has been involved in social projects for many years, especially in the Žižkov district of Prague, where he co-founded the ŽižCon charity festival and the project of housing students in nursing homes. In addition to being a volunteer fireman, he also plays curling competitively.
