Jan Šovar is a lawyer and a well-known expert in financial law. In 2018, together with Ondrej Mikula, he founded law firm FINREG PARTNERS focusing on FinTech, financial services, capital markets and investment funds. Prior to founding FINREG PARTNERS, he worked at one of the largest Czech law firms. Before that, he also worked in Paris at the predecessor of today’s ESMA or at Deutsche Bank in London. For many years he also headed the capital market legislation at the Ministry of Finance, where key capital market legislation was drafted under his leadership.
