Ladislav Miko
Doc. RNDr. Ladislav Miko, Ph.D. is a leading Czech soil microbiologist, currently advisor to the Minister of the Environment. Previously, he served in important positions in the Czech and European executive. In 2009 he was Minister of the Environment. For a long time he worked in the European Commission as Director of the Natural Resources Protection Section. He also devoted a lot of time to his scientific activities in the field of soil biology. He has authored or co-authored more than 80 papers. In addition to his own research, he lectures at several universities in the Czech Republic and abroad. In his lecture, he will outline what soil life actually looks like and how we can support it.
