Tomáš Krátký
Tomas Kratky is a former software developer, data engineer, and consultant with over 20 years of experience designing, building, and implementing large, complex, data and AI-driven systems for enterprises across various industries.
In 2015, Tomas embarked on a journey to revolutionize the data industry. He started Manta, an innovative data lineage company, with a vision to bring back full visibility for increasingly complex data infrastructure, restore trust in data, enable agile and efficient change management, and prevent incidents from happening. Tomas has served as the CEO of Manta for eight years and turned it from a small innovator into a market leader and the best end-to-end enterprise data lineage platform with close to 150, primarily Fortune 500, customers.
In October 2023, Tomas sold his company to IBM, and his current responsibility is in the Data&AI division to strategically support IBM’s customers across the EMEA region.
Before Manta, Tomas was one of four owners of Profinit, one of the largest software houses in Czechia, doing business in central and western Europe. He held an executive role responsible for product, marketing, and research there. For over a decade, he was also an external teacher at the two most prestigious technical universities in Prague, Charles University and Czech Technical University, where he gave lectures about software engineering.
Outside of his professional life, Tomas is a big fan of books, sports, computer games, and the ocean.
